Gina Covello’s “Rules for Surviving Your Senior Prom”

Rule #1: Do not get so loaded at the after prom party that you accidentally-on-purpose end up in the broom closet with the surprise hottie of the evening, say the class chess champ who’s somewhere lost his Coke-bottle lenses and undergone an extreme makeover, especially if that makeover has anything to do with becoming one of the undead.
Gina Covello has a problem. Waking up a dead is just the beginning. There’s very little she can’t put up with for the sake of eternal youth and beauty. Blood-sucking and pointy stick phobias seem a small price to pay. But she draws the line when local vampire vixen Mellisande gets designs on her hot new boyfriend with his prophesied powers and hatches a plot to turn all of Gina’s fellow students into an undead army to be used to overthrow the vampire council.
Hey, if anyone’s going to create an undead entourage, it should be Gina! Now she must unselfishly save her classmates from fashion disasters and her own fanged fate.
REVAMPED (Book 2)
After surviving super spy club training, Gina, Bobby and their fanged friends are sent on their first mission—undercover at a New York high school where some seriously weird stuff is going down. As excited as Gina is to get out of spook central, she’s less than impressed with her new identity as goth-girl Geneva Belfry. No color palette to speak of—more chains than a bike rack—and don’t even get her started on the shoes. About the only thing she can say for her all-black wardrobe is that it’s great for hiding blood spatter and other fashion faux pas.
And there will be blood.
Kids at the high school are going crazy—sudden outbreaks of violence, kids sleepwalking through school or dropping out entirely. Serious magic surges have been detected in the area, along with a mysterious and nearly mythic figure . . . someone who should be long dead and at least thrice buried.
Some legends just won’t die.
FANGTASTIC (Book 3)
What do you wear to face down a cadre of killer kids? Gina Covello would rather be working on her manicure than missions for the Feds’ paranormal unit to which she’s been recruited. That changes when a group of killer kids takes out a family in the sunshine state and disappearances begin to plague the lifestylers who play at the kind of existence our fanged fashionista leads. She and her crew are sent undercover into the vampire clubs . . . which turn out to be run by real vampires.
While Gina’s BFF Marcy hangs with the steampunk-styled Burgess Brigade that spawned the killer kids, Gina herself is supposed to get in good with the fanged fiends behind the scenes, even to the point of playing double-agent, offering to hand over her powerful boyfriend Bobby. Her playacting threatens to become a bit too real when she discovers things about her spy handlers that make her wonder whether she’s truly on the right side of the battle between Feds and fangs.
FANGTABULOUS (Book 4)
After figuring out that the Feds like to perform grisly experiments on vamps for fun and profit, Gina Covello, fashionista of the fanged, and her minions ditch their government spy jobs and go on the run somewhere their weird will blend in . . . Salem, Massachusetts, a town with tourism still dedicated to the darkest part of their history, the witch trials.
Their new home town is mercifully Fed free, at least to start, but Gina and the gang have only traded one kind of danger for another. A nasty spirit from the past―possibly the infamous Sheriff Corwin―is on a killing spree, targeting young girls. And with a producer from the ghost hunting show Ghouligans ready to blow their vamp cover, Salem isn’t helping the gang blend in. But the supernatural strangler needs to be stopped. Sure, Gina and her crew rose from the dead, but this ghost’s victims aren’t likely to be so lucky . . .
FANGDEMONIUM (Book 5)
Fanged and fabulous . . . and hunted.
Gina Covella, fashionista of the fanged, and her entourage are primed to reveal the existence of vampires on the popular Ghouligans television show, when their former federal handlers swoop in to shut them down and imprison the vamps in one of their super secret testing facilities. Or not so secret, as the gang knows all about the horror hospitals and has sworn to take them down.
Their daring escape runs them right into the arms of “the resistance”—a group of humans and vampires who’ve joined together to stop the fighting that’s made Gina and her boy Bobby’s hometown a bloody battlefield. Going home brings them back to old nemeses as well, including the psycho psychic who declared Gina “chaos” and Bobby “the key”. They hope he’ll unlock the secret of stopping the Feds’ freakshow experiments for good, because they’re building up to something big. Huge. And they’re consolidating their power in the Big Easy, aka New Orleans, where what’s cooking is nothing less than the final showdown.
